Tale of Desperaux

Watching it now.

Desperaux is sooo cute.

I love that they named this one rat Chiaroscuro. Chiaroscuro, in art, means it is a contrast between light and dark.  In the story, rat's are to live in dark places and his love for light is what makes him odd among the rest of the rats. Very nice.

Harry Potter Feveeeeeer! ♥

Harry Potter 7

Warning: Spoilers ahead.

I think the opening sequence was great. It differs from the previous films where they already show the title. This time though, they showed a little pre-sequence for the events ahead. 

There's also a first look to the Malfoy Manor which didn't live up to what I expected it to look like. (What I liked though was a good close up of Snap, hahaha) I guess that's what anyone can expect a house is from a really wizarding family.

    

Anyway, so the 7 Potters scene. They really put in a lot of comedy lines here and there in this film. I found myself laughing just for the random comedic things they present. The film is not so dark anyway but I guess they're trying to stay away from it being too serious? (But it's supposed to be hella serious.) 

Skip. Skip. Skipped some parts.

The trio silently enters the Ministry of Magic (not as themselves but with the use of the Polyjuice Potion) and successfully grab the horcrux from Dolores' neck. Here comes in the romance issues and Ron's anger.

Ouch, Ron. Anyway, they go their separate ways while Hermione goes to search her books and puts two and two together. Ron comes back after saving almost naked Harry and destroys the horcrux. Yay! 5 more to destroy! (and there's around 2 1/2 hours left to show how, lol)

And WTF for that horcrux-thing coming out for Ron. Harry and Hermione? Did they actually shoot that scene? Just go and watch to find out what I'm talking about because that's seriously mind fuck. 

They go to places to learn more about this symbol:

Elder wand, stone and Invisibility Cloak.

It's really nice, how they told the story of Beetle the Bard. Something out of the ordinary for the Harry Potter films. (If they didn't pull back out of making it 3D, I'm not sure how this part would look like).

Of course along the way, they meet with the death eaters and one time, with Nagini. 

From Xenophilius' house (where they heard the story), they get caught by fugly death eaters who bring them to Malfoy Manor (aka the headquarters). There, they meet Bellatrix, Lucius with his funny hair, Draco and some others. Bellatrix, as per usual, goes into crazy mode and starts scaring Draco into checking whether it was Harry or not (Hermione had spelled his face into an unrecognizable face). She brings Harry and Ron in the basement cellar where they meet Luna, his father and what I think was Griphook. Above, she tortures Hermione. (Oh, I can't bloody wait for her to get axed from the living world. Grr) 

Anyway, the incredibly amazing, always there 'to save Harry Potter' Dobby, arrives. He saves them all but just when the apparition fog-thing ends, Bellatrix's knife (which she threw) went through it. We see next that Dobby was stabbed. It was great, I did cry. He said that it was a great way to die, being surrounded by friends. omgseriouslyiloveyoudobby. 

Then...

Voldemort goes brokeback with Dumbledore in his coffin and steals the Elder wand. I knew it would end here, it had that finale feel. I read somewhere that it would end at Chapter 24 of the book but I'm not sure since I forgot what was written there. Gonna go check it out when I have the time. 

Summary?

1. Quite a few comedic lines here and there (and some inappropriate places)

2. More romance for Ron and Hermione (and some Harry/Hermione too)

3. Everyone's hair is messed up

4. Some person who gets transported through Portkey always, always gets injured

5. Let's cover our eyes: Harry Potter's naked body will be seen twice in the film

Someone please tell me if there's a place selling Hermione's bag. I am definitely going to make a beaded bag if there's no one selling it. Love it, FTW!

Happy Birthday, Sugar!

As the title says, I'd like to greet my dog in heaven, Sugar. As usual, have a good heavenly cookie dessert for yo birthday!

Anyway, today was jam packed with activities. I first went to the National Museum. I had to walk from the LRT station to there since I thought it would take only 5 minutes (that guard at Wendy's totally fooled me). After so much sweat, tired feet, crossing the street where big container trucks pass and a few meters walked, I finally arrived at the Art Gallery where we would go see Juan Luna's Spolarium.

Yep, there it is. Our teacher had a surprise for us, free ice cream hahaha. She's so cute.

Anyway, went to school to pass some docus then off to Greenbelt! 

Harry Potter 7 was WOW. (I'll do another post just for this) Really on a Harry Potter high right now. jhusdgfklagdflvgdsiisduflusdgfgsdf

Due Date

My friends and I saw Due Date (which starts Robert Downey and Zach Galifianakis, directed by Todd Phillips) yesterday and it was hella funny.

Lots of funny parts in the move. I laughed most of the time, haha.

Anyway, I was at the mall for 8 hours. It wasn't fun to see the gradual increase of the visitors. There were TOO many people. The only nice part was that they had this big section of Nail Art stuff (which I went crazy over). Haha. 

So after I got home I watched The Hangover (which was also directed by Todd Phillips).

I am back!

I am back, at last!

Having no Internet for a week and three days, it was crazy. I couldn't do school work properly; I couldn't check FB, lookbook, blogspot, tumblr, twitter and all the other websites I look at; I couldn't check up on some things when I need it; I couldn't schedule in my Google Calendar and a lot more!

Anyway, that's that. I was so happy that I had Internet but I immediately had to do my school work so haha. Now I'll be able to enjoy it a little more. I can't wait for the weekend! More free time to browse and play Minecraft, hahaha!

Stamps and Nails

I'm partially ready for Halloween. Vampire, bloody, red nails!

It's so nice and bright, I love it!

Anyway, had a 400-calorie Starbucks Crème brûlée Macchiato drink. Buy 1, Take 1 from Oct. 26 - 28. (Goodbye good diet for today.)

Also, got a stamp from the Samsung booth at school.

A horse-y and something. Haha.

What's for dinner?

I had 1 pack of Sky Flakes for breakfast. At 7AM.

I had one Cinammon stick for lunch. At 1 PM.

I had 1 pack of Fita for merienda. At 4PM.

I don't know how I lasted without even drinking water but haha, with this kind of diet I'll definitely loose weight. Having a stomachache has its benefits too. ;>

Firsts

I've been having a lot of firsts lately. One of them is this:

First time to make breakfast where I cook something for myself. The corned beef didn't have anything except for garlic, haha. The bread was delicious, the right type of bread I like. It's called Allisons Breads and I recommend it! Haha.

Had a video shoot with my literature class groupmates (whom I've just met a few days ago) on the fly. Well maybe not so because we did plan out where we will meet and things like that. Haha.

The rain poured hard in the afternoon. There was a temporary blackout in the MRT train and people screamed, "Ohh". Weird to say, but it really sounded great. Its like the tone of their voices were just a single note, nobody was out of tune. Weird but great.

Ice cream and things

Lunch & Blog Fever

Yahoo! 3PM lunch with some of my favorites. Shrimp Sinigang (Shrimp in sour soup) and Yang Chow Fried Rice. 

Anyway, I still have the blog fever so there'll be frequent updates to this blog. Hopefully this won't end so soon! 

DM Day

Had a great time with DM yesterday in celebration of Ruth's graduation. Yipee! Seen a lot of people I haven't seen for years.

Ate a lot: chicken, potato, mango float, salad and mamon. Hahaha. After eating, playing games (charade, pinoy henyo) and karaoke, we went to Greenbelt to watch The Other Guys. (Sabaw sobra.) I forgot the ending already hahaha. After that, we ate Churros at Dulcinea. Other friends ate World Chicken at Jollibee HAHA. 

Then we went home. Let's meet again soon!

First Look

First lookbook post. Other people had their photos taken by someone else and I'm here doing it on my own and inside the house. :P Hopefully I'll have my look taken by someone else soon.
